POEMS AND POETRY BOOKS…
Every morning I get the email version of Garrison Keillor’s Writer’s Almanac. In addition to literary tidbits for that day in history, Keillor provides the text, and an audio file of him reading, a particular poem.
This is today’s poem
I also keep a book of poetry around for those times when prose just doesn’t cut it.
At the moment I’m enjoying:
Stone, Paper Knife by Marge Piercy.
Prior to that I was reading:
Available Light by Marge Piercy.
In John Updike’s Room: New and Selected Poems by Christopher Wiseman.
Given Poems by Wendell Berry.
The Collected Poems Of Wendell Berry by Wendell Berry.
early GRRRL — The Early Poems of Marge Piercy by Marge Piercy.
Colors Passing Through Us by Marge Piercy.
I’m always looking for new contemporary poets that I might enjoy, so if you have a favorite, please send me an email.
(For what I read prior to Sunday, 10 July 05, you may search the archives under Headspace and look for the On My Computer… category.)

I heard Why I Need the Birds by Lisa Mueller on NPR radio. Can you pls print that for me?
Shalom Bonnie,
First, thank you for stopping in, for reading and, most importantly, for taking the time to write a comment. It’s all about the conversation.
Here’s the link for Why I Need The Birds.
B’shalom,
