    I am Mormon. We are not required to give 10 percent to the church. It is completely voluntary. You are making a fool of yourself with this poster. Anybody that knows anything about the LDS church knows this is just tomfoolery.

    Good morning Sam,

    First, thank you for stopping in, for reading and, most importantly, for taking the time to enter the discussion. We build our communities with out conversations.

    While it is true that, unlike the Catholic Church in Germany, the leadership of the LDS church does not deny services to those who don’t pay, I have no doubt that like all religious institutions, the LDS church does have a pay-to-play philosophy for those who wish to rise in the hierarchy.

    If religion didn’t have the power to extort funds in exchange for real and perceived favors (from save your imortal soul by supporting our church to you too can be a bishop if you pay enough), it wouldn’t exist.

    Do all you can to make today a good day,
