for people who already have easy lives.
Liberals want to make life less hard
for people who just can”t quite get by.
Repiblicans say Democrats want to
give everything away. So would Jesus.

Like most matters of public policy, “the devil is in the details.” I prefer a “safety net” of government programs to aid the poor, when NGO’s do not provide, to socialized medicine, or collective farms, or a socialized department for the construction and distribution of homes. Others want more government run solutions. If Jesus sides with the Left, I suppose that he wasn’t God after all.

That’s true, you’re absolutely right.
As to the politics of Jesus, he really wasn’t much interested in government. The gospels speak at length on his opinions regarding the rich and the poor. I would recommend President Jimmy Carter’s latest book — Our Endangered Values: America’s Moral Crisis.
Oddly enough, none of the gospels offers even a peap on the matter of homosexuality, yet, if you believed much of what you heard and read in Washington, no more important issues faces America today.
